In reverse, because Good News should always be saved for last, I think.
So, the new Pokemon theme doesn't have Zoey in it.... Is she gone? (Who am I aksing this to? I don't think anyone on my flist would know!) That bites. Oh, and now we get Meowth being beat on by a Purugly? That's... Great, guys. Thanks. Okay, I know that Pokemon battle and they get hurt, and it also shows los twerpos getting attacked in the theme too, but there's a different - the whole point of their character isn't to get beaten on in each episode. With the Rocketeers, though, that is the point. I mean, seeing them being chased by a Delibird? That was funny. It's a Delibird. (And during the line 'You'll never see us run away from a fight', too. ^_^) And I don't want to be one of those psycho fans that flips out angrily when their character is hurt. That's just stupid, especially for a Team Rocket fan.
I guess it's just... Team Rocket, lately especially, has always had one or two group shots in theme, often in which they have bad luck. That's cool, yo. But when they randomly decide to give one of them an extra bit, it's kind of upset to see it being more of that obligatory bad luck. I dunno, maybe I am just being a psycho fangirl. :P (Incidentally, because it showed orange-haired Galactic chick in the corner of the screen at that point, I have to ask why Team Rocket is fighting Team Galactic? I dunno, I never saw much of the Advanced series,so I don't know how they interacted with Aqua/Magma.)
The bad? You know how I keep gripping about how I hate Disney Channel shows and then I watch them anyway? I ended up watching a lot of Suite Life on Deck, and by a lot I mean three episodes. That was the one show I flat-out DID NOT WATCH. (Well, that and now JONAS, with it's unnecessary CAPLOCKS). Because it's AWFUL. And now I am very sure I will never be watching it again. Very poor treatment of women, with the objectifying and the selfishness and the 'I'm only doing nice things so she'll give me smoochieface'... NO consistency of character, as usual.... And that crazy-annoying Bailey. Ack! But seriously, this is an awful show. I mean, the boys just went to see a bunch of lady dancers, and I'm sorry, NO. They're, what, sixteen? I don't like them being that young and going, but hey, whatever. What bothers me is that this shows target audience is the more tweenage audience, and the writers damn well know that, and they also damn well know that a large part of their audience is still in the single-digits. It's not the sexual that bothers me, really, it's the way the disgusting attitude the boys take on the show, and Cody, who is effing supposed to be the nice twin, basically forcing Bailey to dress up like one of the show girls. I hate him, I hate this show, it just... Augh, gross. It makes me so angry!
(More Pokemon thoughts: This makes me laugh. Dawn's Piloswine hasn't listened to her since it evolved, and Ash is all like, "He'll warm up to you real fast.". Ha! Like you and Charizard, Twerpface?
Also. Ash. Brock. Seriously? I'm giving Dawn slack because she's the new girl still (kind of), but that poster has a blue-haired guy, and a Meowth, and a Seviper, and a Mime Jr., and now you're at the advertised class and being taught by a red-head chick with big green earrings. AND YOU DON'T KNOW IT'S TEAM ROCKET? Oh, the stupidity we endure for the sake of plot.
Also, I love Croagunk. That thing is just... Sick. (In the good way). No, seriously, I don't know why, but he's wonderful.
Jessie: "We've tricked you twerps more times than you've had birthdays!"
Jess, hun, I'm not sure about Brock*, but Ash and Dawn are perpetually ten. So, you know, tricking them more than that? Yeah, it's been years.** I should hope you'd have tricked them at least eleven times by now. Just sayin'.)
Aaaand the good.
I like Andy Ritcher. But, y'know, with my really limited range of what I watch, I only know him as the voice of Mort. Now, let me explain something here. I loathe Mort. I mean, actually, lately I just dislike him, because a friend made me realize that sometimes he really is damn cute, but seriously. Do not want. But the second I saw Ritcher talking on some behind-the-scenes stuff for Madagascar, I was like, "I like you! Why do you voice a character I hate?!"*** But, but, I just checked the DVR, and apparently one of the episodes of Monk I recorded... He's in it! I mean, the description it gives heavily implies that he's the baddie, but that's okay, because he won't have that high-pitched voice and that foot fetish. (I... I hope.)
Also, speaking of DVR, I finally checked that episode of Wizards for the The Princess and the Frog (the probable last traditionally-animate feature-length Disney film, from what I hear) preview. Well, yeah, it was there, I recorded the right episode! And oh my God, it looks so good! Tiana is super-cute, so it's kind of a shame she's going to be a frog. And the frog reminds me very much of Jean-Bob. (From The Swan Princess? Anyone?). Which is awesome, although I'm assuming he'll turn out to be different enough from him. (I hope so, actually, because otherwise they'd both blend into one character for me which would be so weird.) But yeah, this movie looks so good. God, I cannot wait.
I mean, look:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fa/Frog_official_poster_500.jpg! So pretty and nice and blue!
And speaking of upcoming films... If memory serves, (And it rarely does), the third Ice Age will be coming out this Summer. So, soon-ish! Yay, Sid!
*According to Bulbapedia, he's fifteen as of debut. I opt to believe he was (and still is) at least sixteen. Preferably seventeen. Because all that flirting Brock does? If he's that young, it would make me sad instead of making me lolz. (It actually still does sometimes.)
**Yes, time is going by, but they don't age. I read somewhere this is the creator of the series's take on things, but even if that's not true, it's true in my mind.
***Ironically, King Julien is my probably my favorite of the entire franchise (Skipper gives him some good competition), and I really do not like Sacha Baron Cohen. I just... Don't. Can't. I'm sorry. He's brilliantly funny as Julien, because apparently he came up with most of the lines and basically the character's whole personality, and he did a grand job with that voice, but I cannot stand the man. Needless to say, I was giddy to learn Danny Jacobs took over the voice in Penguins. I think Jacobs does an equally grand job. I really do. I mean, I didn't notice it wasn't Sacha for a while. Now I can easily tell the difference, but that's okay with me.
