I feel the need to keep y'all posted, so here's the quick-fire summation of past problems I've posted.
1) I got out of Overtly-Stupid AP Lit and into Slightly-Stupid AP Lit, thus all is well. It meant I had to drop Spanish III, but hey, who needs it? I know enough broken Spanish to be able to take vacations, at the very least.
2) Newspaper might turn out to be the greatest thing ever: through the course of a long story, my newspaper "connections" might've just pulled through for me. I'm now a candidate for Editor status (not copyediter - EDITOR. As in dictator of one of the sections.) Also - even cooler - they're thinking about putting a fiction section into the paper. Meaning, if God and my friends really love me, I could not only be an editor, but the Fiction Editor. To be honest, I can't imagine anything I'd rather do in that class. *Glee!!*
3) I want to go back in time and become Fyodor Dostoevsky's disciple.
4) In my further quest to deny myself any semblance of free time until graduation, I just possibly joined two new clubs: A) some Academic Decathalon team (or "Smart Club", as I call it) - I get to study every aspect of the Renaissance all year, then compete against other schools with that knowledge...woohoo!(?)...apparently this is a massive deal in states like California and Texas. Then B) The Peoples' Voice (Vox Publica, I think is the formal name), which thus far sounds like it'll be me and Rouse and Guy 1 and maybe a few straggling members hanging out and talking about whatever occurs to us at the time.
And I'm pretty much dead on my feet right now. Tell me: do I sleep, or rent some mindless yet entertaining movie? I might need a good shot of Romance straight to the vital arteries.
i won't be left behind!
