Layover Recap

Aug 21, 2008 08:35

Well, it's been a rough road, but I finally made it. Or rather, I'm halfway there.. Well, I'm actually writing this from the airport in Denver, where I have a bit of a layover, and they have free wi-fi (yeah!! it costs money at LaGuardia, as I recall, so this is awesome). I thought I'd sleep, since I got up about 4 to make my 6:00 flight, but I decided I can wait and try to doze on the plane.

I worked yesterday from about 8:40 to noon, then came home to pick up Isaura, and we finished moving stuff and cleaning the old place. I ended up finishing about 10:30 (with an hour or so break for dinner), and it wasn't fun, but I'm now completely moved over and cleaned out, and my keys are sitting on the table waiting for check out. I feel pretty good.

The best part about the cleaning (besides being done) is that I brought my iPod to listen to while I worked, and came up with a bunch of new songs to add to my Muse playlist. X3 I added a couple of really good ones from Dexter Freebish - "What I Need" is a good Nick-monologuing-about-Cassie song, and "How Do I Get Through to You" is pretty much perfect for Cassie-to-Nick. Papa Roach's "Scars," it turns out, IS a really good Castor song - to his brother, post-split. Poor kid. And I'm still loving "You Know My Name." I'll post a playlist sometime for you all to amuse yourselves with.

Anyway, my WoW patch is done, so I'ma take advantage of my layover and free wi-fi. (Yay!) Next you hear from me, I'll be in New York City! (Or, if I don't have internet there, I'll be back home.. on Monday night.. ^^;)

moving, muse
