Mom's birthday was yesterday. She had food she liked (and I didn't, but that's ok it wasn't my birthday...), we watched football together (despite the fact that I can't stand football and only really care if someone does something super crazy and even then I would MUCH rather be doing mostly anything else), and took a drive around Skippack and Evansburg State Park areas to look at the leaves changing (even though there wasn't enough yet to really be pretty yet). There was also the watching of two movies this weekend that we all didn't like. Observe and Report was not funny. At all. I literally laughed at one line the whole time. Not good for a comedy. And Monsters Vs. Aliens was not good, either. B.O.B. had all the best lines, but it just wasn't funny or that clever. It felt like I'd seen this concept before. I wonder if someone else was bored enough to count all the movie references, though. There were a ton. IMDB.com lists 35, but I can think of at least one more that wasn't listed and I know there might've been other, more subtle references. Maybe that was the adult spin on it. It's not clever enough to be fun for adults and kids on its own.

Not looking forward to my own birthday. I'm not in the mood to celebrate.
I'm trying to find things I'm happy about, but Frankenberry and pumpkins are sort of fleeting happiness.
