Hello all
Hey folks,
I'm sorry I haven't been around much in the last few months--things should be different, though, soon. In fact, I'll probably have no freaking clue what to do with myself for these next few months (aside from work, school, fixing the house, etc.) But I have been doing all that crap already in addition to spending time with Jay.
Unfortunately though, his orders to stay in New Orleans have ended and he is packing up and heading home tomorrow morning. WE had a wonderful last weekend though, and he has helped me move a bunch of my stuff "home" already. And Ben, I promise we'll be making a trip to get my stuff out of your apt. finally. But thank you for babysitting my bookcase and pictures all this time--if you didn't have them, they'd have all been Katrina victims. So thanks.
So far I've gotten a tremendous jump start on the wedding--got the dress, groomsmen's suits, Jay's suit, my dress and shoes, and other little incidentals along the way. Working on the guest list and visited lots of churches. He's calling tomorrow to see what days are available and should have that picked out anytime. As soon as that stuff gets nailed down, I can start getting florists and photographers lined up.
But anyway, I am VERY sorry for not being there since the storm. And I hope to do a better job in the next months of getting BACK into touch with people. I just always knew this day would come when I'd have to tell him goodbye and we just tried to squeeze in every second together that we could, and I was neglectful of everyone else. Again my deepest apologies...
Well, better try to squeeze in some zzzz's before school tomorrow. Night to all!
