[man, I'm really spamming this weekend. *blush*]

Supernatural
s2, episode 21 [All Hell Breaks Loose, pt 1]

All Hell Breaks Loose ~ pt 1:

Okay, I love that this started with a bit of humor -- the onions and the "get me pie!".

It's cool we got to meet some of the other kids affected by this demon: Andy, Ava, Jake, Lily. Though, why the angry lesbian stereotype? I totally didn't pick up on the evil!Ava thing, and I got such a kick out of the other guy, Andy. And, yeah, as per normal in kaalee-land, I quite liked Jake. Very pretty. Oh, yes.

Anyway, the whole demon plan of having only one standing was creepy, especially when Jake & Sam fought it out at the end. I kept thinking: omg, omg, Dean, you'd BETTER GET THERE because Jake is wicked super omg strong, and Sam is so very, very rocking, but this isn't going to end well if you DON'T GET THERE, and then he did, and Sam saw him and then, omg, Jake took that knife and twisted it and I let out an audible squeak.

I thought the death scene was really well done, but as soon as it was over, I was sort of... numb, I guess. I didn't expect Sam to die at the end, and part of me kept figuring: well, the show is in its third season, so Sam has to come back somehow. He HAS to. I was watching Dean speak to him (omg, Dean) and hold him and rock him and just go through about four thousand expressions and I was so numb. I think I was just so... shocked, to be honest.

And now, instead of mourning, I keep thinking about how Sam can come back. I'm, like, refusing to even consider this ending. Here is what I've come up with for getting Sam back:

  1. Dean makes a deal with the yellow-eyed demon: his life for Sam's or something along those lines. The demon seems to want Sam, so he'd be totally up for that deal, yeah? But, see, that wouldn't work, because then Dean would be dead, and that wouldn't be okay, either.
  2. Sam isn't really dead; he's somewhere else, possibly... fighting in Hell or looking for their dad and his body is in some sort of stasis that makes it look dead?
  3. Sam comes back as a demon -- didn't we just learn that he has some demon blood in him? So, he comes back all evil, or partly evil, and thus, more plot for season 3!

Hahahahahahaha, okay, I'm probably waaaaaaay off on all of these, but it's fun to speculate before I watch the next one.

Now that I'm typing this, there are more things that I want to talk about:

★ Mary Winchester knew the demon! Okay, what was that about? We finally have real, incontrovertible proof that the demon came for Sam, and his mother & Jess died because they were in the way (how is this going to eat at him when he does come back?? also, haha on me that I'm already thinking of this like it's definitely going to happen.), but then we also find out that she knew the demon?? How? Was it this connection that had the demon even know about Sammy? How does the demon even know about the kids?

★ The demon's blood dropping on baby Sam's lips? So. Creepy. *shudders* [just an aside, though, I think the actor guy who plays the Yellow Eyed Demon is really, really good. He plays him sort of understated, which makes it all that much scarier to me.]

★ Dean. Dean, Dean, Dean. ♥ I just keep flashing back to the image of him holding Sam and his face and all the talking that he was doing and then, omg, omg, Sammy just died in his arms. This is going to gut him.

And of course, now I have to work on report cards, so I can't even get to the real finale until tomorrow! *sob*
