I can't actually remember the last time I posted...

Eamon died a few weeks ago. My brother is heart-broken, as are the rest of us. Chris and I drove home for over a week to be there for the services. Chris was a pall-bearer and I wrote and read the eulogy. I got to see people I had been wanting to see for such a long time...and leaving New York I came back to Florida incomplete and half-hearted.

You all know that I don't like doing something if I'm not passionate about it...so I am once again beginning to create a plan to move. There is nowhere else I want to live aside from the Northeast. I want to be within driving distance of my family and friends, the people who helped mold me into the person I am today. I want to meet my friends' children and I want to put down roots.

Chris has a tentative job offer in Maine...which is fueling my fire of course. Now it's just the logistics of how we afford it, what company we use, creating an itenerary and executing it. Maybe Christmas will be more hopeful, knowing we aren't too far from moving home. Home....

I signed up to be a Mary Kay consultant. I really love the company. They applaud you when you do well, and no one is competitive or undercutting. They celebrate their peers' success, and support each other in a way that I have not experienced with the corporate world. Truth be told I'm kind of over the corporate world...and now have to decide if I'm going to continue to get my masters in Fashion Design, or switch over to some kind of Art Education.

I'm 27...this has always been my scary age. What I've found though, is that even in the face of death and grief and anxiety I am still solid. I am still myself, and I finally know what that means...and I enjoy it.
