How's this for a shitty family
over the past year my mother has been complaining that my nan alex (my dads mum) didn't invite her to the christmas dinner we had. My Dad was attending so i have no idea why she wanted to go.....except to make him miserable.
so this year i invited her to dinner at nan's with me and Karra and Amber.
It was just the 5 of us so i thought it would be ok.
"So where is Steve living"
"What's he doing"
"it must be nice to be retired"
"well that's thew life you get when you have no kids and no responsabilities"
all said in a wonderfully narkie tone.
never in my life have i ever seen my Nan look at the clock during a visit.
I was so embarresed and ashamed that i appologised to Nan when we were leaving.
I can't believe that i felt i had to apologise to my Nan for my Mothers behavior......WTF
and I still have to spend Christmas eve with my mum and then boxing day as well.
currently i would rather throw up then be in the same room as her.
