time for a post!
I still log on here often to read what yall are up to, but I never seem to post anymore. I paused Transformers and went online for a few and thought, "why not?".
On the 26th I had my tonsils taken out... so I've been sitting on my ass (or laying) for most of that time... mostly watching cnn and msnbc and the conventions... don't even get me started on the stupid republicans.
A tonsillectomy definitely does suck, but it's not as bad as the internet had led me to believe. What sucks for the past couple of days is withdrawal from my hydrocodone... I didn't think I'd really been taking enough to be addicted so I just switched cold turkey friday morning to tylenol... it hasn't been a fun couple of days. My throat isn't all that bad anymore.. I still have the scabs and it still hurts a bit but it's not too bad. I ate a bean burrito and maybe that was pushing it too far because I saw a bit of bleeding, but I was pretty stoked to have eaten something besides top ramen and yogurt and the like.
I think my drug withdrawal symptoms are nearing their end and hope to feel reasonably normal on monday. it's been an interesting ride. I've never broken a bone or had surgery except for the lasik, so I didn't know what to expect. Now I've gone through what seems to be known as one of the worst for adults, and it was no biggie so I'm feeling good about that.
Okay back to the couch. Not quite healed up yet.
