I have a free day tomorrow, so I shall be visiting a new tailor. Ryoma, I'd like you to come with me. You've been growing, I've noticed, so we're going to need to get you some new clothes for the coming season. Choutarou, you are, as always, more than welcome to accompany us if you'd like ( Read more... )

I will admit that it was more amusement than anger or jealousy I felt when the rumours began circulating at such speed. As if you would be that careless! Or have time to be! Though I did, of course, for the briefest of moments feel a small betrayal before realizing that I was being completely foolish. I trust you completely. Besides, even with our busy schedules, I do like to think I'm still more than enough to keep you satisfied. ^____~

Though now I am highly intrigued on what ou did to convince her brother.

You know I prefer men over women, anyway, even if I have indulged in both in the past. Women are far too complicated, and of course, even with precautions, there is still the chance that she could become pregnant. With men, there is no such risk, and I am perfectly fine with that.

You are. You most definitely are. I have absolutely no desire to stray, especially not to a woman.

... I slapped him.

(ooc: Small is just small because Tez doesn't like admitting that he did it XD )

I know. Which is why I was only momentarily seized by stupidity and quickly moved on.

I must stay that you keep me much more satisfied than I ever thought possible when you propositioned me at last year's ball. On the rare occassion, I do love being so wrong.

hahahaha!!! That's fantastic!! Were the other men around? How did he react? Oh, I wish I could have seen that.

And I do love proving people wrong, from time to time. ♥

It isn't funny. I'm rather unhappy about it...though it did exactly as I hoped it would and got him to be quiet... And no, there were no witnesses, thankfully. He'd come to my office to confront me about the whole thing, and kept the door closed. ...We were both quite stunned, actually...

As long as it's only from time to time, I suppose I won't mind that much. ♥

Once you've all had time to step back from the moment I'm sure you'll see the humour, too. And you were both stunned because slapping people is not in your character. I assure you, I'm no more worried about you hitting me today than I was last week. Besides sometimes, a person just needs a good slap to bring them back to reality and reason. And if there were no witnesses and no real damage than I say it was effective.

Of course, it does depend on what I'm proving. Certain topics are far less satisfying.

Perhaps... I am very glad no one was there to see. Hopefully, he'll keep this quieter than he did his anger at the rumors, and nobody has to know the circumstances... I would rather not garner that sort of reputation for myself.

The sexy topics are much preferred over the practical ones.

If he speaks of it, it's almost more embarassing for him. A guard being slapped for accusing his leader of sleeping with his sister when it's obviously false? How humiliating. I do hope the lady comes out with a more plausible father soon. I don't know what she expected to achieve by these rumours.

I'm sure your reputation will be safe.

Of course.

I suppose. But still. I'd really rather not have the reputation of slapping my squad around, even if it was simply to stop the hysterics.

There are a number of possibilities, as for what she could be hoping for, but they're all silly, overly-wishful thinking, or results of her not really knowing what sort of man I am.

^__~

I highly doubt one hit to stop hysterics would be enough to to garner a reputation like that. You may be a strict leader but you're hardly abusive.

Perhaps you should arrange a meeting with her. It may fuel the rumours but it will also give you a chance to find things out. And I do know how you like solving mysteries.

Ah, but you do know how people like to exaggerate.

I have no real interest in solving that particular mystery. It's not my business. The only thing I'd say to her would be that she'd better stop telling lies.

Yes. I'm well aware of how people exaggerate. ^___~ But I still think you'll be okay.

She made it your business when she started alluding to you being the father. I'm surprised you aren't more curious about this.

I hope so.

It's probably the same reason as the last woman to accuse me of fathering her illegitimate child. Or something similar.

Have some faith in your men, Mitsu~♥ He may have been a bit hysterical at the time, but I'm sure once he confirms things with his sister, he'll be back to worshipping you for the amazing guard you are.

Is this a a normal thing I should be prepared for in the future? I can't say I've ever had a lady accuse me in such a way. Perhaps I'm not seen as a reliable father figure.

They hardly worship me, Yuushi. I'm not looked up to that way. Unlike a certain Captain of the Guard....

I wouldn't call it normal, but it has happened before. Perhaps it's a little of our family nature backfiring... Our tendency to take in strays, as it were. Women name me as the father, even when I am not, in hopes that I will marry them and take in both the lady and her child. .... Perhaps I should make a point of pointing out to women like that that my family only takes in male strays....

You do yourself a diservice. Your men are incredibly loyal to you and you control a great deal of respect. And which captain would this be?

Hahaha how cruel. Though I'm sure it's only because a stray female has yet to need your assistance in the same way. And trying to imagine you turning your back on a lady truly in need is impossible to do.

They respect me, yes. But respecting and worshiping are quite different. There's only one Captain of the Guard, Yuushi.

Perhaps. And I suppose so... I do not consider a lady who did not think her actions through to be one truly in need, except perhaps of the education her mistake can provide her.
