Hola, Amigos.
Many good bits of news came out today. One, our abstract got accepted for the week-long conference in Hawaii!!!! Now, we have to submit a big-time full-length paper, and we should find out by Feburary if we're completely in or not. ANNNNDDD. Nick, who just happens to be an amazing boyfriend, pre-oredered the Incubus CD- which means that he gets dibs on 2 tickets for the Feburary show at the State! I am a very excited girl. :D Also, I get to see my parents in about a week- along with my BROHA, puppy<3, grandparents, cousins, and aunt & uncle. It's going to be a big, fun, food-filled, hilarious weekend. I can't wait.
I think All this homesickness is due to me being sick. And, when I saw Ashley & Holly this weekend (WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC- I MIGHT ADD.) I subconciously expected to go home afterwards & call Nick & hang out with him for the night. Trouble is, I am in Kalamazoo- 160 miles away. It was a weird feeling, and I kinda had to snap myself out of it before I thought too much about it, but that's okay. I won't be home until after Finals but after I see my family- the few weeks after that shouldn't be too bad. I'll be too busy to worry too much about it, I guess.
School is going 1000 times better now that the Physics lecture isn't on my list of worries. Well, it's not completely out, three of us are still following up with our meetings with the Dean to try to fix some things around the Physics Department. We met with the Head of the Department on Friday, and let's just say he is somewhat of a dickhead. After a good 6 or 7 minutes, we gave up and left. It was obvious that he already had a good idea about us and let's face it, he's good friends with Dr. K so I'm sure he had a big defense wall up as well. So I filled the Dean in about all of this and now the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences is planning a meeting. I don't think Dr. K's a bad guy, and we're not trying to get hime fired- but this is the third time I've been completely screwed with a Professor and with a subject as important as Physics- something needs to be done. So we'll see what happens with that I guess.

Uhhh yeah, that's pretty much it. In general, everything's going pretty well, except this illness that's taking over, but that's normal this time of year.
