BLM Plans to LOG my home...Takilma

WHICH FORESTS: These are the beautiful low-elevation forests you see as you travel on Takilma Road. They include Allen, Sailor and Scotch Gulches, parts of Hope Mountain, the Takilma Prayer Circle, the steep hillside above the Green Bridge swimming hole(which just happens to practically be my backyard), the tract between Rockydale Road and the river, and lands along Little Elder Creek, north of Four Corners and east of Takilma Road.

We now have only 30 days for public comment, after which the BLM field manager will sign a Record of Decision (ROD). At that point, there will be a 15-day period for filing administrative protests of the decision. If history is any indication, the BLM will deny the protests. Following the denial, lawsuits may be filed, after which the fate of our forests will rest with a judge.

I have seen the signs throughout Takilma, "STOP BLM", "YOUR FORESTS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK" ect, but now that tomarrow is the very last day to protest, and now that letters of desperation are being sent out from my community, it is hitting me hard. At the least, I feel scared, devastated, and desperate to do something about it.
