1) Congrats! :o) 2) I have no answer for you. I've got articles, but they're fuzzy and contradict each other. I wish I did have an answer, because I'm a horrible procrastinator and I hate it!!! One nice theory is that procrastination is a defense mechanism. Basically, you feel that you are your work, that the judgement passed on what you produced is also a judgement on you. So, the idea is to start working/doing whatever you need to do at the last minute, so that you have an explanation in the event of failure : you didn't have enough time to do it, you just wrote your essay 2 hours ago, so really, it is not a reflection of what you *could* have produced. Hence, a bad mark is not a negative judgement of *you*. And if you succeed, you can be proud of yourself because you managed to submit good work even when faced with barriers. However, you will never know how good your work could've been, and won't have to work with added pressure, or a real understanding of the worth of what you can produce. This nice theory works pretty well for school work (which, incidentally, I should be doing right now), but not so much for something like a driving test, I think. 3) Who got deported??
