Did the insane thing and tried to complete all the minor quest threads before I did the main quest.
and of course as Kajeet (cat like create) who have a notoriety for stealing, i made a note to take EVERY DAME SWEETROLL I FOUND. mmmm sweetrolls
Completed the Dark brotherhood quests, Thieves guild quests, companion, Mage's guild, Bards collage. Almost all of the city's sidequest's, and the Rebellion Quests (Stormcloaks). By the end at level 48 I had Smithing, stealth and One handed weapons at or near 100. Heavy armor was in the 90s. Archery, enchanting, lock picking was in the 70s. most everything else was in the 20s to 40s. I was surprised archery wasn't higher, but I guess when you are doing 25% change criticals and 3x sneak attack damage with a Legendary Dradic (deamon) bow with Ebony arrows, you don't get much of a chance to use them when most enemies go down in one or two shots. I was also doing two handed fighting for the quick attacks. Typically my tactics was to snipe at distance, and then if needed finish them off with swords if I am detected.
Might try my next game doing light armor and Magic. and a "Goody two shoes" type character that doesn't do any crime, like stealing, murder, or pickpocketing. And joins the Empire in the rebellion.
With a high one handed weapon skill it was kind of funny to go up to the end boss in the Mage quest line and decapitate him with a two sword finisher move.
If anything with my current character i might explore blackreach some more (most awesome place in the whole game) and try to get all the Dragon priest masks
