D&D

This is only the Third time I have played a D&D game.  In the current session i have a human cleric of Pelor at level 13 and now am up to level 17.  THe biggest problem i have with D&D is it gets harder to tweak things.  Also most encounters that my group faces only last 2 or 3 rounds so buffing really isn't and option.  I have stated to learn to pre-buff before we have the main encounter for the session.

My Cleric Myrrk Mistlight right now fits into a role as a support character that works as a backup caster and melee fighter.  we have a Fighter that is focused on Critical hits with his broadsword.  A 20th level monk which is a primary Melee.  A Sorcerer which is mainly a primary Caster and the player really hasn't learned how to use time stop well yet except to play pranks in mid combat.  A Rogue/shadowdancer who spends most of his time hidden, and just started playing around with a Vorpal weapon.  FInally we have a Wizard who is played by a person who spends a lot of time finding weird uses for spells and doing weird things.

Myrrk also has Leadership which allows him to have a Cohort who is a rogue/fighter focused on using a Tripping Reach weapon to aid in the defense of Myrrk.  Since Myrrk now has winged boots and a helm of teleportation, it isn't needed much anymore.

A few Adventures ago Myrrk was able to get from loot a +5 Large shield of reflection, and his cohort found a great benefit for using a +5 Animated Large shield.

Only downside is that we are playing 3.0 and not 3.5.  Also the GM has the "mercenary rule" which means if you want to use a sourcebook beyond the Core books and Epic pH you need to give him a copy.
