WI joint Finance committe, which is lead by Re'thug'licans, is cutting federal funding of WISCNET which provides 95% of the funding for internet to public Libraries, and 80% of the funding for internet to public schools. WIthout WISCNET providing internet to these institutions could be triple or quadruple what they pay now.
How does refusing federal money and paying more for services save the budget? I does not. Instead it allows corporations to make more money at the expense of the tax payer.
