Getting a space all to yourself in the shelter can be tricky; conservation of water and electricity are pretty important, so most anyone who's willing to share ends up with a roommate.
Karla would prefer a single, but beggars can't be choosers, and she's been pretty lucky regardless. She's found a spot in the same building as Gwen and Preston, and her roommate is, on the whole, pretty easy to live with.
...Except for the fact that she seems to be taking it upon herself to get going repopulating the species sooner, rather than later.
Which is how Karla ends up being left to wander the halls for a while more often than she'd like.
And, being that there's only a couple of people she knows (and/or likes) well enough to visit, it's not so unexpected that she ends up knocking on Gwen and Preston's door.
