Soooo, I had a pretty exciting weekend... Sat. morning headed out to Wisconsin to the Dropzone where Jeremy skydives... I was pretty nervous the entire day Friday knowing that I was jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft the following day, and the hr and a half car ride there was pretty intense, but once I got there I calmed down a little. hmm.. scratch this, I'm going to do a +/- list.
Friday:
+ Shells and Cheese
Saturday:
+ car ride with Jeremy (they're always entertaining)
- car ride being an hour and a half long
+ getting to the dz finally
+++ doing a tandem!! probably one of the most exciting things I've ever done/ever will do
- the fact that my right ear didn't pop for like 5 hours after the tandem
- eating nothing but crap food the entire weekend (life at the dz, apparently)
- Todd's kids... dear lord those kids were insane...
+ The View (and my sneaky entrance)
- feeling sick after a few drinks
+ feeling better after one glass of water
+ dancing
- creepy pedophile named Paul who kept talking about underage girls
+ skinny dipping
- the crap load of weeds in the lake
- the ground that the tent was on being SO hard
+ sleeping in a tent
Sunday:
- being woken up by loud music
- Lynn being sick
+ learning how to do the manifest stuff and feeling not so left out at the dz
+ organizing the shirts so they were actually in the right bins
+ heading out early for dinner at Applebees
- feeling sick after Applebees
+ going to bed early and actually getting some sleep
yeahhhhh, so some of that won't make sense, but it was a nice re-cap for me.
I think that you should all go skydiving, it's pretty much amazing. I can't really describe it, but it's just one of the coolest things ever.
Other than that I woke up today SO tired for no apparent reason, and I can't wait until I'm done with this nannying job (just under a month left). I love kids, but being a part-time mom just isn't treating me well. Especially when all the kids do is fight with each other.
Kirby and I are thinking about getting tattoos... I mean, she obviously already has three, but we were going to get matching ones.
anyway, summer's more than half over, which is depressing, hopefully the rest of it will be delightful.
