My piano teacher from first grade through my senior year, Mrs. Latham, frequently (and very frequently) called me "Nick." Why? Because I would always learn and memorize my pieces for recitals, auditions, festivals, etc. in the "nick of time." I always got a kick out of it when she called me that, and she did it for very good reason. I am a procrastinator. The consequences could at some point be hazardous, but that is simply my nature. Years later, I am still waiting until the last minute...
