When I first started this journal, I named it Daydreamer. I felt that I spent most waking moments when I wasn't otherwise occupied, letting my mind wander to one of it's favorite topics. Although I'm not entirely sure what they were at that time, I know pretty much what they are now. Usually it's about how I wish I had a certain super power or something cool would happen (general fantasizing), or how some political issue or event is infuriating or exciting me, and why, or finally, I just ponder the nature of social interaction. That one really fascinates me. Today and yesterday have been good in my own social sphere. The 1-2 weeks previous... not so much. People were getting on my nerves. Part of it was the actual obnoxiousness of those people, but I think part of it was just me being too stressed out to find anything remotely amusing, especially some of the stupid shit that I was encountering. Those two weeks reinforced my belief that I interact best on a one-on-one basis. More people means I can and am usually cut out of conversation and/or singled out as the socially abnormal one. I came up with a term during that time too: social fatigue. A general measure of how much one person can stand social interaction, which is a function of the people interacted with, the number of them, the frequency of interaction, and the duration. Maybe I should write a paper on it or something. I also was reminded of my belief in negative social synergy. It seemed that when certain pairs of people got together, their combined mannerisms and interactions became almost to much to bear. Once again, this may have only been noticeable due to my heightened stress level.
All in all, I'm more relaxed right now. I have a test tomorrow, but plenty of time to study, and not much of anything to worry about for the weekend. Actually, there is, but I'm a tad drained. Regardless, today was a good day for not getting totally annoyed at silly things like people. I need to focus my energies at truly annoying things, such as what the government is doing, and the fact that I don't have a job lined up for this summer. If you have any questions, I'll answer them. I know this post was a little vague. I should get back to getting stuff done.
