An update long overdue...:P

A few weeks ago, my family and I arrived from our four-day stay in Bohol, from the first to the fourth of May. It’s a trip I’ve been eagerly anticipating for quite a while, and it’s hard to believe it’s been almost two weeks since we’ve last set foot on the grounds of the Panglao Island Nature Resort. Oftentimes during those trips my parents realize that our stay was a day short of complete, and our recent experience was no exception.

On the first day, we took our time looking around; the resort has a very picturesque view of the ocean-from their infinity pool, no less. There was also a group of steps leading to the beach from there. Naturally, with the beach being one of the very reasons I looked forward to our stay (right next to great food), I had to take a look. Nice white sand, but quite small-not exactly what I had expected (or hoped). Still, at the time I thought it had a tranquil atmosphere, and it satisfied me for the meantime. I spent an hour or two lounging about our room watching T.V. while two of my youngest siblings and cousins (who came along with us) raced to the pool, unsurprisingly. They would sleep in the water, if they could. Eventually, I joined them (the heat finally got to me) and I was there for about four hours before finally deciding to hit the showers.

We stayed in the resort during the first two days--more or less at the pool mock-drowning each other and turning over which one of us was riding on our cousins’ floaties. Probably looked like an idiot to the other guests lounging in and around the pool, but it was fun, and sometimes, the fun just wins. XD

The food there was great. Of that, I was satisfied. The service, on the other hand…not so much. It took them twenty minutes to get a cup of rice. -_-;

The next day, we went to various places that made Bohol famous (read: sightseeing and taking hundreds of pictures, like the tourists that we were). Unfortunately (or was it?), it was drizzling that morning. Nevertheless, the tour was continued. Our first stop was, of course, the Chocolate Hills. It was still raining, so we didn’t stay long. I actually bought a hat to protect my glasses from the rain; hooray for overpriced souvenirs! XP

Second stop was the hanging bridge. Would’ve enjoyed it more had the day been less damp, but again, the souvenirs…

Tourist attraction numero tres on our itinerary was the small area the Tarsiers were kept. We had lunch at one of the boat-restaurants on Loboc, visited a honey bee farm and finally, to a cave located surprisingly-and conveniently--near the resort. River

I was unfortunately denied the pleasure of the last dip in the pool for the duration of our stay due to…that EEBIL time of month, so I ended up taking a bike ride instead.

As soon as we got back to Manila, we headed to Bonifacio High Street after a brief stop at our aunt’s house. Ate dinner at ‘Brothers’ Burger’, bought a few novels at ‘Fully Booked’ and even got a drink at the Starbucks on the third (I think?) floor. :D

We managed to arrive home before midnight no little tired but with enough stuff to amuse ourselves with for quite a while.

‘Home Sweet Home’, indeed.

=^-^=
