Another week has passed...finally, the weekend has come. The second quarter is proving to be the most demanding among the four, and I for one am thankful for seeing at least some improvement on my schoolwork this past month, compared to the previous quarter. However, our troubles are far from over; there's the puppet show, which our section will present to the freshmen (what section, you ask? Well, I haven't the slightest clue) and the fact that it would take place next week. Admittedly, I haven't exactly been doing my share of the burden lately, as the past few days have been incredibly stressful. Then there's also the matter of the oncoming long test and exams after a couple more weeks. You can just imagine the pressure I --along with many others, I'm sure-- am experiencing at present.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the infamous PTC is tomorrow (yes, fellow montessorians..I shall see you on judgment day). I am currently chatting with my seatmate and he agrees that the majority of the student population in O.B. is doomed. I dread this time of year...I really do. I really don't think another reason to degrade myself is necessary; my self-esteem has endured enough damage without it, thank you very much.
My friday has more or less been okay; so to recap, here are the day's events:
1. Chemistry; We had a quiz-- 9 items, 30 points. As usual, Mr. Alanano's quizzes scared the wits out of everyone...don't know if I passed. He also left us a ton of homework to keep us busy.
2. Music; nothing big...just copied some notes off the blackboard and spent the rest of the time doing homework and eating Nico's dark chocolate...yum! ^^ Mrs. king still hasn't returned my notebook though...
3. English; Poetry recitation!! I was second to the last person called to recite. Fortunately, I didn't forget anything and I got a 95%...Yay me! (although I walked around a lot while reciting the poem..I think that cost me a few points..[sighs].=(..)
4. Filipino; Idioms and figures of speech (Tayutay)..checked our homeworks, discussed the lesson, then ma'am gave us more homework. (Oh, joy....not.)
5. Geometry; had a seatwork on polygon similarity after the discussion...wasn't hard, luckily...
6. History; had a bonus recitation instead of a quiz (Yay!)-- answered only one question (drats!). Ms. Cascasan wouldn't call the same person twice..hmph!
So, it's easy to see that the 95% was the highlight of my whole day...Haha.
Summary of the trip home:
Rode on our humid ol' bus and most of us went out smelling like baby powder (don't ask). Raymund and I ranted about grades and the fact that the dreaded PTC is tomorrow...gah.
