WCS prelim Melbourne 2008 results....
Hello everybody!
It has been a bit since i last posted, and there has been a bit of good news since then.
On the weekend, me and Aly competed together in the WCS Melbourne prelmin during Mini-Animania...and....
WE GOT IN!!! We are now one of the offical contestants in the running for winning the title of representing Australia at the World Cosplay Summit! So now, its to Sydney Main Animania and the Australian Finals!
There are not enough words that i can type here that would express what i am feeling...so probably the cloest is this...

Here is one of the photos that was taken by Eugene after the Event. Unfortunatley not many photos were taken as we were swamped by people in the foyer that we kind-of just stopped and didin't move.
Our characters are KH1 Cloud and Sephiroth. We did a skit, which can been seen on youtube (*listen out for my screaming...i really came to like the scream*) :
I will be putting a big costume breakdown when i get a picture of the costume up on DA, so will post more info here when i get it done over there. :)
I would like to say a huge thankyou to first and foremost - to alyssea, who with together, i am able to live out and perform my passion for cosplay and its many aspects and feel enjoyment of being right next to her and knowing she is there also living out her passion for cosplay. Together with her, i know we can bring our cosplay to the next level and not get stuck in dark allyways where people will come running towards us with oranges and lavender...oh No....we will face them with our Door of Kukundu wisdom, our Pshycodelic monk robes and Crimp our way into glory! :P (yup...kinda just got a bit random towards the end here...we watched to many british comedy DVDs over the past couple of weeks) Im so excited by what we are now preparing for our Final's entry :D
Also to Empire Toys and Game Traders who have supported us and will continute to support us into the Sydney leg of the finals
To the wonderful ppl that have directly helped out, like Lisa, Cathy, Shasta, Kellie, Eugene, Tsubaki, Catty...without you, we woudn't be where we are now!!! (-to Tsubaki and Catty, although we are compeiting against each other, we are still first off - friends...so...TAKE THE COMPLIMENT *force-feeds via a tube & rubs moisturiser into your skin full of Vitamin C for COMPLIMENTS!!!*)
And to all the people that helped us pack up and also went out with us on the Satruday night!!! like Giorgia (Goober-Chan_cake...it was awesome...AWESOME SEEING YOU AGAIN!!!), Asham, Lexis, Kaki, Luka, Hope, Brad, Sly, Sly's friend, Shi, Kai (was that his name...i'm sorry, bad with names) Kenny, MC/fluffly shirt man....
I'm sorry if i have forgotten any names, but there were so many wondeful people that I met and who also wished us good luck, and serioiusly, it all really really helps! If i didn't write your name down, or you want to remind me of someone, please ping or poke me!!!
So now, we are heading towards the Finals in Sydney, where we are going to bring all we have and challenge ourselves to do better than our best...and try to keep our lives, friendships and relationships, jobs and eating patterns balanced...^_^;...
We look forward to representing WA in the Finals, and will be aiming hard and keeping it clear for the goal of becoming the Australian Representatives for the World Cosplay Summit 2009! :D
