Late Victorian Hat
I had the good fortune to take a Lynn McMasters hat making class which resulted in this Gibson Girl era hat.
It sat untrimmed in my work room until I had the amazing luck to meet up with Lynn again for another class and disclosed that I had just learned hair weaving at Colonial Williamsburg. Well it so happened that she was in need of a body to weave hair at her hair piece demo table at "Victorian Life inside out" this weekend at the Rengstorff house in Mountain View.
So, a 7 gore skirt, petticoat and one awsome hat later... I'm there this Sunday in all the Victorian splendor I could muster.
Here is the hat i finally completed...
