Well, it was really nice.
Tuesday night I came down to Escanaba to Alden's home.
His parents treated me very well, and so did his cats.
Disty (the youngest cat) however took an extreme interest in Moonshadow, whose new name is Snack.
We wandered over to his friend Mike's that night to sit around and WoW. It was a good time.
We had to pick up Alden's brother Arthur from a Cast party around 1am.
He's cool, but he's 16. So he doesn't quite understand things yet and is fairly lacking in the common-sense area. *shrugs*
We woke up early on Wednesday for the trip down to Middle-of-Nowhere, WI. (about 30 minutes away from menomenee, WI.)
Alden's Grandparents live in the middle of the woods, with 20 acres of them.
There we met up with his sister- Ivy and her husband Francious. (sp?) They both seemed nice, and they are overt Democrats. So for the first time I had someone on my side for when the debates broke out (which they did)
And his Grandmother, who was very kind.
His grandpa came in about 45 minutes after we got there, dressed in bright orange and carrying a rifle.
he didn't get anything this round.
We all played some games together and watched T.V. and just visited.
I felt welcomed and so warm with everything.
Thanksgiving went smoothly as well, with a breakfast at 10am and dinner at 4pm (Central time)
The food was amazing.
More games were played, I schooled Alden and his Mother at Yahtzee! >D
this morning, we got up and packed up and left town.
We made a stop along the way to visit one of Alden's Great-Grandmothers.
She's 98.
Very frail, but very sweet. she had a cat.
If ever I need an Oxygen tank and a weelchair and someone to push me and get me out of bed, i want everyone to know that I would just rather get pwned. let me go.
Official statement right there.
now I'm back in Mike's basement with Sean and Alden. playing WoW.
amazzing.
