I have spent most of the last five days sleeping.
Prior to that, I kept the schedule of a college student: get up super early (4:45am), either man the doors or prepare for presentations, participate in meetings, man more doors, attend more meetings, get dinner, drink with colleagues until early in the am, repeat. I learned soooooo much. I had a good time, but there were some very dramatic and stressful moments.
Prior to that, I was in Massachusetts with my family. My mom lives in a lovely house in Ashby, with tons of space for everyone and lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in. My aunt and grandmother threw the most beautiful memorial for my brother, complete with live music and catering. I learned that I like Manhattens and Kyle and I walked the Freedom Trail (at least half of it) in the rain. We were not there nearly long enough.
Prior to that, I was contemplating staying in San Diego forever. My goodness, that is a beautiful place. My presentations went well, I met lots of interesting people, ate some great food and drank some great wine and nerded it up for a few days.
And now...back to work, reality, etc. Preparing to start class in a month, a weed-out class that will determine whether or not I can cut it as an online learner. We have a new guy at work who will add a very interesting element to our little group, I'm looking forward to getting to know him and seeing what he can do. Supposedly he will make life easier. :)
I've been reading everyone's entries, though I've been bad about commenting. Now that I have time, I should be more present. :)
