Icons
Since my mom has taken the TV hostage with one of her Chinese soap operas, (I have no interest in) I can't watch my SGA DVDs on the big TV. (This soap opera is too much like a RL situation in my extended family and it disgusts me.) I had to find other methods of keeping myself busy. I have spent the last two hours searching N3 and GateWorld photo galleries for screen caps and created some icons.
I have a few quick questions for anybody who has experience in this.
1) What programs do you use make the icons? (I'm currently using two programs together, MS Office Picture Manager and MS Publisher) Is there a better program to use without spending a lot of money on PhotoShop and such?
2) How do you post these on LJ in an orderly fashion? Do I just upload them to Photobucket then post them here? I'm asking this b/c if I decide to offer them to the public, how do you put them up all nice and orderly with numbers and such
3) How do you make the moving icons?
This all spouted from having to search for almost two hours for a particular type of icon (was looking for a golf icon.) I have determined (from past experience) that the best and fastest way to get exactly what you want is to make it yourself! :-D
Now, back to making some yummy icons of my whumped Shep.
