x marks the spot

So, Mike and I found our new apartment. It's a 2/2, just shy of 1,000 sq feet. All in all our total individual monthly bills aren't going to change by more than $100 or so. The new place has stucco/knock-down walls and ceilings, gorgeous marbleized formica with real wood accents (it is Montana, after all), and the carpet is a pretty shade of taupe that is subtle.

Most importantly it has a W/D in unit and a dishwasher. I have hated life not having a W/D. Oh and it is air conditioned. That may not be something that stands out at you, but I was shocked to find that the vast majority of apartments here in Montana don't come with A/C. Even the newer homes aren't necessarily built with them. And trust me, the summers here get hot enough to rival Florida.

Between feeling good about my job and finding this apartment, this sleepy mountain town is finally starting to feel like home.

And that man, that wonderful man I get to fall asleep next to every night and wake up next to every morning. My God, I never knew I could be so in love.

In unrelated news, this has become my life.
