being responsible sucks

Guys, can we talk about how bummed I am that I can't make it to Ultra this year? Especially after last year was so awesome.

This year's lineup has me even more excited! Sure there is standard fare such as Tiesto, PVD, Armin Van Buuren, and Carl Cox, but this year they added David Guetta, Pendulum and The Ting Tings. I'll admit that I'm not entirely thrilled with Pendulum's newer stuff (Hold Your Colour will always be one of my favorite D&B albums), but I would still kill to catch them live.

My family has been guilting me into going back to Florida to spend some time with them, and I could probably finagle it to where that aligns with Ultra, but that's not the only hitch...

Mike and I have needed a bigger place since about 10 minutes after I moved in. Even though we try and stave it off, we're both pack rats and I have a LOT of stuff. Stuff that is currently in a storage unit in South Florida. When I moved in with him it was under the contingency that as soon as I had a steady job or we got a bigger place I would start helping more around the house financially, and I intend on honoring that. So I have to come up with half of first, last, and security, in addition to getting my stuff from Florida here to Montana which at the best price I could find is in excess of $2,000. Bah.

I cannot justify dropping $1,500 between air fare and concert tickets when I know damn well I have other responsibilities and obligations. Which is to speak nothing of the girl's birthday bash this year where Devyn, Sarah, Baya and I are planning to meet in a super-secret city for a weekend of decadence.

Have you tried being decadent on a budget? Not as easy as you may think. This whole celebrity thing better start paying off, and I mean quick.

Sometimes being an adult sucks. Hey stronae? Will you have a blast for me at Ultra this year?
