That review was for a particularly bizarre Doctor Who fic where I decided it'd be kinda funny to write about the Doctor walking in on Amy and Rory cosplaying as the Doctor during sexytime. I wish I could say that was the worst review I've gotten since joining ff.net. Meanwhile, I can honestly say that I've never gotten a flame on Livejournal. And I've been here for four, nearly five years.
Not everyone on ff.net is an asshole. In fact, most of the reviewers are lovely people. But I think I prefer sharing my work with fellow fangirls/boys who respect one another, and offer support and constructive criticism instead of abuse.
Put simply, the people here are nicer.
