lmao I just witnessed an arrest at the library
i just got here and i was stamping the cards, and then the security guards go running around and they yell to my boss "WATCH MY DESK, I GOTSTA GO" and they went running after some guy and the librarian whisperered "they're making an arrest!!"
so THEN like 3 minutes later this random old man is being escorted into the back room behind my computer and there are like....5 cops with him. i eavesdropped on what they were saying, and the cops were like "GIVE US YOUR ID, WHAT'S YOUR NAME" and the old man was like "i don't have id! but i do have a slip of paper with my name written on it! hold on, i'll look" and then i heard the cops yell "PUT YOUR HANDS UP" and they started patting him down, and the other cop was like "no, no no!!"
anyway, i overheard them say the guy's been coming to the library every day for the past 3 years for 9 hours a day doing "something" on the computers and theu caught him on camera. i told the librarians what i heard, and they were like "OH, the CAMERAS..." and then the other librarian was like "WHO CARES if he comes to the library 9 hours a day, it isn't a crime!!"
do they have cameras on the computers??? i don't get it! aah this was fun
