dibs :)

I'm back and I finally got around to reading this baby. You have to know you had me all wibbly and excited from the header alone. :)

First and foremost: Anon-sama, thank you SO SO MUCH for this amazingly long and wonderful fic!!! <333

To be honest, I'm always a bit wary when it comes to high-school AU, but you pulled it off nicely. I liked the whole atmosphere of a quirky high-society private school. And OMG, Ryo's Osaka-ben translated into English (Cockney?) - you actually took up my My Fair Lady prompt! Thank you thank you thank you, Anon! Also, Jin being an ass with a heart of gold and Pi being nice but still tagging along, and the two practically bullying Ryo into becoming friends - I just love their whole dynamic and the whole BFFery! <3 And then of course there's Jun, mysterious and ambitious. The whole sub-plot with his dad had me in tears.

I realize I probably wasn't the easiest to write for and from the bottom of my heart, dear anon, I thank you for gifting me with this enjoyable story about friendship, growing up and the power of love. <3

I'm so happy about your comment, really!!!

Well, this story became a monster, somehow. I couldn't stop writing. If this hadn't been for an exchange, I would have made it a multi-chapter, with even mroe details. More stuff about Ryo and his brother, more about Sakumoto, more about Jun's family and Pi's family, more about Miki... ^^"

Yeah, I had the idea to bring in the Kansai-ben element, so I tried to mak it Cockney. I'm sure it's not entirely accurate, but I'm glad that I got the message through. When I saw the Pygmalian prompt I thought that it's something that's different and I thought it would be fun to so something with that.

It's weird, I was worried about the setting myself. XD Fortunately the characters worked with me so well. When they get bitchy, it's difficult to make the story flow smoothly, but they just fit into place almsot magically. Jin was great. I enjoy writing this kind of character, as long as they stay in line and dont get annoying. I love Pi as a guy with special characteristics. Like, this food thing that he has. And the way he has like no feeling for private space, physical or mental. XDDD

I've never written MatsuRyo before, but they just fell for each other so easily, it was a pleasure to follow them on their way. Jun was actually the most difficult character to write. So stubborn. The story between him and his dad is really very sad, when their "outcome" came to my mind, I thought "Omg, no, that's just awful". But well... I don't know if you know the feeling, but once these things are thought up, it's like they already happened. So, in a way it really was a decision that the character made. One I wouldn't have expected when I started writing the story. But the way Jun and Ryo grew together gave me a warm feeling in the end.

I'm so very happy that you liked this story. It's a story I'll always look upon kindly, because the characters were just so much fun to bring together. So, thank you for the sign-up. I wouldn't have thought this story up by myself and I'm really happy that I could write this.

You'll have to know I wouldn't mind reading a multi-chapter fic set in this world. ;P
