Phew
We went back to Rusholme today to look in the sari shops. In the first shop I saw something I liked enough to try on. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but when I go out shopping I have an idea of what I want and I know that I'll know it when I see it. This seemed to be it, but you can't just buy the first thing you see, can you. So we walked up one side of the road and down the other, into a couple of shops. Then went back to the very first shop and bought the very first outfit.
If I hadn't bought something on Ebay last night "just in case", of course, I wouldn't have found this (there is no guilt here, the outfit I found on Ebay has cost me £14 including postage. If I don't like it it's not the end of the world!). If I'd bought it straight off we wouldn't have had the chance to look at all the Asian Bling jewellers and the snacks-and-sweets shops.
So I'm relieved. All I need now is a pair of shoes and, who knows, new underwear. And possibly to see if my office-mate thinks she can take it in just a touch.
