Redemption Songs 03 - Harry/Loki

PREVIOUS HEREI was researching Viking punishments for this chapter, and can I just throw this out there? “You had your tongue cut off if you told nasty lies about someone”… Um, yeah, but Loki?! Just saying. Odin is a little biased, even in favour of his least favourite son. So don’t go too hard on him ( Read more... )

I'm really starting to hate Heimdallr these days. Why didn't you tell them what poor Loki was suffering from? Ah, but at the same time, I understand his reasoning, kind of...or rather, I understand the type of character you wrote him to be, and it fits with my image of him from the movie anyway; I never liked him in it then. I mean, seriously. Loki walks up and tries to engage you in a nice conversation and politely ask to be let through the bifrost, but he listens to Thor instead, who pretty much just demands to be let through. WTF. But oh well. That's the point. And I guess Loki might not have asked so politely had he not been trying to stall them and keep them on Asgard while that guard ran off to tell Odin what was going on.

Lol, sorry for the random Heimdallr rant. I loved the extra background information because it gave more insight to the other characters and their reasons for not helping Loki; sort of like the other sides of the story. And we get a little sneak peek of Loki and Harry's future life! I'm excited to see how they got there in the next part! :)

Yeah I don't really like Heimdallr either. He's a bit of a Dumbledore character: he could have made things easier, but he decided to be secretive and selective and things went to shit for Harry then too, and yeah it all worked out in the end, but he suffered a hell of a lot more than he needed to. It was for plot then, and it is for plot now I suppose, but also because this is the way Heimdallr seems to me, from the movies and the comics and what I've read of the legends and poems. He's an interferring busybody when it suits him, to save Asgard, but when it doesn't, well, then it's not his business and he won't kiss and tell, so to speak.
Now I'm off on a Heimdallr rant ehehehee!

I'm all excited about the next part, but I think I should stop, and sit down and make a quick hand written plan, because originally this was going to be one huge one shot, and now I'm worried that the next part will be one giant one shot, and then the chapter after that with Voldemort will be like 1000 words and I'll kind of be looking at it like, "did I use all of my plot already?" Ha!

Also. Need to figure out how they defeated Thanos in the comics, because honestly, I don't think I've ever read that one.... Or... random cliff hanger ending?! :O No? Really? :(

YES! He's like Dumbledore! I didn't think of that before, but it's true, they're pretty similar. Thanks for that reference, it puts Heimdallr into an even clearer perspective! :) Lol, I wouldn't mind if the next part was huge! XD

Hehe, I just read a ridiculously cute and funny (at least to me it was; but hey, anything with Tony in it will have some hilarity) Steve/Tony, so now I'm all full of fluffy feels and it's rather incongruous with this story...XD

I never read any of the comics -hides- sorry! :( I've seen pieces of them on Tumblr and whatnot, though, and they look good...maybe I should get my hands on some.

Alot of the comics are fairly expensive. I have a few Avengers related ones, some Iron Man, and a lot of Loki ones. Plus a load of DC comics and other not as popular ones, and ones that were made for tv shows etc (did you know they did an entire season 8 of Buffy but as a comic?? wtf? they were available no where omg!)
But I'm in the middle of collecting the Marvel Ultimate Graphics Novel Collection. It's basically all of the most popular ones, but in hardback with matching covers and they're like €19 each but i've seen them on amazon for €40 so fuck it hahaha. I have one or two of those already, but I bought them anyway, cause when you have them all and standing them up together the spines make a montage thingy. It's very cool. It was apparently drawn just for the covers of this collection!! :D

I'm reading Bane/John Blake(Robin) fiction right now. Why?! Why?! How did I get into this pairing? :S I usually read Batman/Joker.... too many fandoms. I started reading Sherlock/Harry/Mycroft the other day and didn't sleep at all because I wanted to stay up to finish the story. Ugh, but I cant read my uni notes?? :( :'(
