Avengers: Obloquy 2/2 -Tony/Loki

PREVIOUS HERE

I’m going away for just over a week on holidays… So, I’m being nice and posting this earlier than I was planning to :P

The story can end after the last chapter. But for those who might have liked a happier, more definitive ending, here you go: almost-Happily Ever After. I left it open with the mpreg thing, so no one has to worry about that one way or another, but you can all fantasise I’m sure. In my mind, Loki is very much with Tony’s child XD

I hope you enjoy it.

“Obloquy”

Disclaimer: The Avengers, Tony, Loki, etc belong to Marvel, Stan Lee, et co. I make no money from this and own nothing, don’t sue.
Summary: [Tony/Loki] Tony spent a lot of his time under the influence of alcohol, usually resulting in blatantly awful ideas and leading to some rather unsavoury situations. Attempting to seduce the bound and gagged Norse God of Mischief had to be one of his better ideas.
Warnings: Slash. Tony/Loki. Through and post-Avengers. Missing Scene. Language. AU. Creepiness. FrostIron. Muzzle!sex… Slightly dub-con. Mentions of past rape. Implied possibility of mpreg.
Rating: NC-17.
A/N: Was having a conversation on LJ, and this came up, and oh my god… I am disturbed. But this was so fucking hot in my head; hopefully it translated well, to, well, not paper, but well! (aislingsiobhan (dot) tumblr (dot) com / post / 26084370535 / fanfic-flamingo See the second two)
Title: Obloquy (noun). Meaning: disgrace; shame; infamy; ignominy; disfavour; dishonour; humiliation; disrepute; mortification; misery. It just sounded cooler than ‘degradation’.

Chapter 2/2

Tony had been put into a medically induced coma and kept that way for two days by the SHIELD doctors. Before the doctors could even get to him, Loki had had to distract Thor, and clear a path for them from the door to Tony and passed Hurricane-Thor. The God of Thunder had been content enough with shouting abuse at Tony after he had punched him unconscious, and had even kicked him once, insisting the man was feigning in order to avoid a worse beating. Unable to speak or move far enough away from the bed to reach Thor, Loki had taken to kicking things: his pillow, Tony’s shirt, the bottle of lube. It was having a bottle of vodka shatter across the back of his head that caught Thor’s attention at last.

“Yes, brother?” The blond asked, turning away from Tony’s slumped form.

Loki glared, the one rumpled sheet on the bed pulled up to hide as much of his body as he could manage, wrapped crudely around his waist, and held awkwardly behind his back in his bound hands. He nodded at Tony, who was wheezing again, and narrowed his eyes further, then he nodded at Thor and over to the door.

“You wish me to leave, brother?” Thor asked, looking very confused. He had expected Loki to throw himself into his arms, sobbing and clinging to him, like he had after his second attack and after he had birthed Sleipnir. But Loki simply narrowed his eyes further, and if he could he’d have crossed his arms over his chest, but he tapped his one free foot angrily.

The chain attached to the other rattled as he moved towards Tony, once Thor had backed away. It rattled and clanked, pulling taunt before Loki could reach him. Loki couldn’t heal him, not with his hands bound and his lips sewn shut, but he wanted to check, needed to know, how bad the damage was; whether Loki’s schemes had gotten him killed.

“You wish to seek your own vengeance, brother?” Thor asked cautiously. He was about to offer to unbind him, to free Loki’s hands so that he could physically hurt the Man of Iron who had hurt him, but then Loki was turning, glaring at him again, eyes like poison and blood dripped from his chin again as he scowled fiercely beneath the muzzle. Loki nodded at the door again, and Thor moved towards it slowly, unsure of what he had done wrong.

It was fortunate that Jarvis was able to dial out as well as answer the phone. It was fortunate that despite Thor cracking the screen of the laptop, the speakers had continued to work perfectly. As the sound of a fight broke out (as brief a fight as it was) and Thor’s shouts echoed through Tony’s set of rooms, Jarvis had called Miss Potts, and she had rung Director Fury. Fury had a team of medics and two dozen armed soldiers outside the cell just as Thor was backing out of it.

“Thor Odinson?” Fury said, arms clasped behind his back, and sounding as severe as he looked. “We’re going to have to detain you until further notice.”

“What?” Thor mumbled, glancing around at the humans who were pointing guns at him.

“I’ve just been on the phone to the CEO of Stark Industries. She was forwarded a film clip of your unprovoked attack upon the owner of Stark Industries, her boss, and incidentally one of the richest men in the country. With money, Mr Odinson, comes power. Miss Potts is demanding your arrest, until Mr Stark is well enough to decide for himself what to do with you.” Fury cleared his throat, nodding at the closest doctor who entered the cell with his team at the Direction’s gesture. “Also, she would like to know, uh,” he cleared his throat again, looking a little uncomfortable, but he had promised to repeat her words verbatim, “whether you get off on torturing him,” Fury pointed at Loki who was listening to their conversation curiously though his eyes remained on Tony, “or if that’s something you do for fun on Asgard?”

“It was punishment!” Thor insisted. “And I attacked the Man of Iron in defence of my brother. Loki, tell them!” Loki turned to look at him, and then turned away again. This was not what he wanted anymore, but it was what he had asked for and what he had been given, and if he had to live with the consequences and the loss then so would Thor. If he had to lose the comfort and safety that Tony’s touch provided him, then he would do his best to deprive Thor of his new friends’ respect and affection while he was at it. If Loki had to return to Asgard in shame, uncared for, then by the Norns, so would Thor.

A day later, Pepper turned up at SHIELD’s temporary base. She had gone to collect Tony’s laptop first, and with Jarvis as company, and Tony’s life support machine steadily beeping in the bedroom, she had sat through three weeks of surveillance. It was three weeks of Loki flirting with his eyes and his words, of Tony flirting back, of pressing Loki up against the wall or the bed frame and kissing him, of Loki writhing beneath him as Tony stroked him through his clothes, of Loki asking what Tony wanted and of Tony answering (of Tony breaking her heart): “You.”

She watched in silence as Thor sewed Loki’s mouth shut, just after he had begged Tony to help him, and she watched Tony fuck him, and offer to stop, and Loki beg him silently to continue. And when she was done watching it all, when she had decided she had thought on it enough, she moved to stand beside Tony’s bed. She glared at him at first, unnoticed because he was in a coma, and then she cried against his chest. When her tears had finished falling, she took a deep breath and laughed.

“Oh Tony! I leave you alone for a month and look at the trouble you’re in!” She laughed softly again, because Tony would be Tony, and he wouldn’t be Tony if she made him change for her. She would take him as he came, whores and blondes and Gods and all, as long as he always came back to her in the end.

Pepper went back to the living room. The laptop was still playing, and she waited through Loki yanking at the chain with his leg, scrabbling to get as close as he could get to Thor to try and pull him back. She watched him screaming and shouting, unheard except as soft pitiful whimpers over the sound of Thor’s fists against Tony’s face, and she took in the tears on his face and the guilt in his eyes and knew this time Tony had bitten off more than he could chew. They could send Loki back to Asgard, she thought as she gathered the laptop carefully against her chest, but it wouldn’t help much. She knew people like him, she thought to herself as she made her way to Thor’s new residence. Loki was like Tony, and people like them when they wanted something they wanted it, when something mattered it mattered, and no force on earth would be enough to drag them away from what they desired. She rewound the footage, going back to the very beginning of the three weeks Tony had watched Loki for, and she knew, despite only having seen it once and not even in person, that what they both wanted was the very same thing even if it took one of them a little longer to realise it.

Thor occupied a cell just like Loki’s now. He sat upon his bed, unchained, looking sullen and self-righteous at the same time. Pepper pushed open the door, a scowl firmly on her pretty face, and she thrust the laptop towards Thor and pressed play.

Whenever he tried to protest, she screamed at him, accused him of being a monster and a torturer and a terrible person until he fell silent once more. And then she unpaused the footage, or rewound a bit of it, and made him watch some more. When Tony offered to let Loki top him, Thor cringed. When Tony told Loki to kick him or head butt him if he wanted to stop, Thor glanced away from the screen with lowered eyes. When Loki gave Tony that last kiss, looking sad and so very lonely, Thor was looking and feeling rather ashamed.

“I owe the Man of Iron an apology,” he whispered once Pepper had turned off the laptop.

“That’s the least of what you owe him,” she whispered back, the computer pressed between her chest and her shaking hands. “The very least.”

She left his cell then, stopping outside the door to Loki’s cell for a moment. There were guards outside of this one, as always, and they glanced curiously at her for a while until she shook her head and kept walking. There were so many things she wanted to say to the dark haired being, but what could she say that would make a difference? Her desires would not change Loki’s, her wants or wishes would not alter Loki’s own, only Tony could choose between them, and he was the most selfish person Pepper knew, as much as she loved him. He would never, could never, choose. Two people to love, to love him, or just the one, and he would always pick the two, because that way if he lost one of them he’d have the other and he’d never have to be alone. Tony’s favourite things came in twos, Tony’s friends came in twos, but Pepper had always been separate from all of that, but if she had to choose between losing him and sharing him Pepper thought she could be a little selfish too. She supposed, glancing back at Loki’s door, that she’d better get used to the idea of him.

They woke Tony up a day later, and Pepper was waiting at his bedside with a cup of coffee in one hand and a cheese burger in the other. Just the way Tony liked to be welcomed back to the world.

“You remembered!” He croaked, thinking of Afghanistan and of all of the people waiting on the runway, of whom none had brought either of his two favourite foods. He had told them all, loudly, that the next time he was out of commission for days at a time, kidnapped, or nearly killed, he expected people to welcome him back with coffee and burgers (even if they made him sick, like the six Happy had bought him had).

Tony forced the burger down his swollen throat, washing it with coffee that burned his tongue a little, while Pepper watched him. “I love you,” she said once Tony had finished chewing.

“I love you too, Pep,” Tony smiled at her, half-sadly and half-something she didn’t recognize. But she knew the look in his eyes and the way his shoulders hunched down.

“I’m not angry. I understand, Tony. That doesn’t mean I’m happy about this, of course, but we’ll make it work. If you want to, that is.”

“We? Work? What?” Tony asked, bringing one hand up to rub tiredly at his eyes. Pepper held his empty coffee cup, and whatever way she was standing blocked the view of his bedroom door, but as Tony spoke she took two steps to the left, and Tony was left staring at Loki instead. The god was leaning against the doorframe, his hands tied in front of his stomach this time, and a different muzzle adorned his face. It was the same basic shape and size, but it was fitted tighter to the skin and Tony could tell without touching it that it included the bit that pressed down over his tongue the first muzzle had been missing.

“They took out the stitches,” Pepper said softly while Tony and Loki continued to stare at each other. “But they don’t want him talking or doing magic, so he has to wear that outside of his cell. It’s more humane than the first one though, admittedly.”

“Still just as hot,” Tony murmured. Pepper narrowed her eyes at him, and Loki’s eyes crinkled at the corners as he laughed beneath the muzzle. “Hey,” Tony greeted softly, as Loki moved to sit on the edge of the bed, “what do you want, Loki?” Bound hands reached out to take hold of one of Tony’s own, and pale fingers squeezed tightly, unwilling to let go now that he was touching, holding, him again. “This?” Tony asked, to be clear, a sense of déjà vu over coming him as he remembered asking Loki that once before, before fucking him for the first time.

Loki nodded once, sharply.

Tony smiled.

Pepper watched them, a soft smile on her own lips. Half of her mind was worried about losing Tony, though her heart knew he couldn’t live without her and not just in the romantic sense, and the other half of her mind was already redesigning Stark Tower, taking out a floor of offices and replacing it with a floor for Loki’s use for alone time, and an extra room on Tony’s floor for together time. It would be hard, and uncomfortable and tense, for a time, but Pepper would get used to it. If she could get used to sharing her boyfriend with another man, then the rest of the world would get used to it as well, and Thor would have to too. Nothing was ever as easy as it appeared to be, Pepper knew, but the things you worked hard for were the ones worth holding onto. Tony Stark was the hardest person Pepper had ever worked for, but he was the one thing Pepper held onto with both hands, even from before the first kiss, even before the teasing. Tony was the most work, but he was also the best employer she’d ever had, and the best friend she could have asked for. She was lucky Tony had wanted her as much as she had, and Pepper was sure that Loki knew just how lucky he was as well; as he bent down to press his muzzled lips to Tony’s smiling mouth.

A week later, Tony stood in between Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers. The Avengers formed a circle around Thor and Loki, one who looked proud and the other rather irritable, still chained and muzzled. The Tesseract was in Thor’s hands, and Natasha and Clint laughed about Loki’s muzzle while Tony remembered what it felt like pressed against his cheek with Loki’s bound hands pinned above his head as Tony fucked him. Loki met his eyes, green and brown clashing one last time, before a flash of blue light took the Asgardians away.

Loki had promised to come back, whispering into Tony’s ear after they had fucked the last time and the muzzle was considered superfluous. Loki had promised to return after his sentence had ended, for he would talk the All Father out of executing him, as he always did. Tony had told him he’d better, or he’d send Pepper up after him to give Odin one of her angry, disappointed, self-esteem killing speeches. It had worked on Thor, who still couldn’t meet Pepper’s eyes, Tony had pointed out as they lay in each other’s arms, so it would put Odin in his place too.

“I’ll come back to you,” Loki had promised before SHIELD had come to collect him that morning, and Thor had forced the bit over his tongue and the muzzle across his mouth, “because I want to. Because I want this.” He had smiled a little, just a crinkle at the corners of his lips. “The question, Stark, is what you want?”

“I want you to come back to me.” Once the muzzle was fitted into place, Tony leant forward and kissed it softly, before Thor led Loki away.

After the light of the Tesseract had faded, and the other Avengers had gone their separate ways, Bruce and Tony climbed into Tony’s convertible and made their way to Stark Tower. It was in the process of renovation, but the bottom few floors were habitable, and that’s where they were staying, because that’s where Loki would look for him first when he returned. And return Loki would, because there were still far too many pieces of the Loki-puzzle left to put together for Tony to be done with him yet.

Loki was one of the Sunday Times mind-melting crosswords, and it would take years for Tony to answer all of the clues and fill in all the blanks and work it all out, but he’d get there eventually. It wouldn’t be easy, because though a month ago Tony had thought it had been all too easy, he had been wrong. Nothing was ever that easy. But it would be worth it. And until the puzzle was complete and all of the pieces were in place, Tony would have fun trying to figure Loki out, because puzzles had always been one of Tony’s favourite things to do.

The End

Thanks for reading. If you liked it, let me know!

And yes, I will eventually have the Avengers out of my system (unlikely), and go back to working on purely Harry Potter fiction (more likely).
