XBL is definitely not worth it for a 360. It has a few good games, but honestly... you can play SotN on your PS2 if you want -- it's the same game.
Calling Armored Core 4 awful is an understatement.
Blue Dragon was incredibly long and boring. I quit playing on Disc 3. In place of Blue Dragon, you should try Lost Odyssey if you do decide to pick up a 360. I wrote a very detailed and long review of it without giving any spoilers in one of my past LJ entries, so check that out.
Ace Combat 6 is going to be one of the saving graces for the 360 for me. I played the demo through about 6 or 7 times... and it's just one short stage. Lost Odyssey is another bringer backer, but even now I can't see myself playing through it more than once.
To be honest, I'd recommend thinking over your decision a while longer. 360 is neat, but for gamers like you and me... it's just not worth it. If you don't like shooters, there just aren't enough stimulating games. Plus the loading time is just horrible. But, I guess it is probably my favorite of all next gen systems. I can easily say that PS3 is not up to par game-wise for me compared to the 360... and Wii certainly isn't, though the addition of Mario Galaxy is really drawing my attention quickly. I don't know, I honestly think you should just save your money for something that you'll enjoy more... Because you'll be getting a fraction of enjoyment that the PS2 gave if you are looking for good RPGs and platformers. :<
Well, the primary reasons why I'm buying it is for Rock Band and Guitar Hero III along with X-Box Live Arcade, which does have a lot of good games out for it that I do want. And since finding a PS1 copy of SoTN is extremely difficult for me, it's the easiest way for me to get it.
Also, a lot of my friends locally have told me that Blue Dragon is a good game, so at the very least, I'll try and get a used copy of it, if anything because I'm curious about how good Sakaguchi is outside of Square-Enix.
I couldn't even get past the first half an hour of the game. I think it's because it plays a little too much like the Final Fantasy series. While they're fun games, I'd much rather go back and play 4-6, reliving my memories of them, than to spend $60 on a "nostalgic" game when most other games in the genre have experimented with and improved on the standard formula.

I thought it was great until disc 2. Then it was just downhill to the point where I quit on Disc 3. :/
