Huzzah, 4th O' Julaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I realize it is in the wee hours of the fifth, but damn did I have an awesome fourth!

Last night me, Kel, Liz and Alicia went to the Hampton Casino Ballroom to see The Hush Sound, The Dresden Dolls, and Panic! At the Disco. =D Or, as Greta of The Hush Sound called them, "Panic! a la Discotheque". =) We were rather close to the stage, right below some speakers. The Hush Sound came out a teensy bit early, much to our joy and jubilation. I knew at LAEST half of the songs they performed, the only ones I didn't were from Like Vines, which I need to get. They're so fricking adorable. =)

During the Dresden Dolls' soundcheck, there were some problems with Amanda's keyboard. XD They were trying to fix it forEVAR. When they finally fixed that and the Dresden Dolls came on, I was in no way disappointed. Turns out they have a great stage presence. =) Brian was constantly acting things out, Amanda made jokes between songs, it was fantastic. I went nuts for Coin Operated Boy and Girl Anachronism. The best part had to be when they invited Brendon of Panic! to come perform "a song from the great American songbook" with them.

.....it was Baby One More Time, and it was fan-freaking-TASTIC!

I knew less of Panic!'s songs, but still enjoyed myself immensely. They had dancers, and a costume change mid-way. Kel and Alicia bailed the crowd after a while, and Liz and I followed not long after. Tiny little scenester girls jumping all over your feet and slamming themselves into your chest isn't too great. Nor is nearly getting dragged into a pit by a sweaty shirtless guy, but that was avoided with much less mishap.

I got a Dresden Dolls shirt, Liz got a Panic! one, and Kel got the Hush Sound. Two songs later it was all over. We went and putzed around on the beach, cooling off and watching fireworks. Putzed around a little more, then walked back to the car. And I don't want to get into another story entirely, so that's where it ends. =) It was a good night.
