I have a black jacket that I wear frequently. So frequently, in fact, that I wore through both of the elbows, a fact that I discovered a couple of days ago when I threw the jacket on the bed and realized I could see holes in the left sleeve. On examining the right sleeve, I realized it had a matching hole.
So is it worth fixing? Jackets are so cheap, but I rather like this one. It's lightweight and simple, and there's a certain emotional attachment to it because it was a gift from my mother-in-law. So I went onlne and found some cheap iron-on patches. I decided to order them and attempt a repair. If it turns out well, great! I can keep wearing this jacket. If it doesn't, well...the jacket had a good run, since I've had it for five or six years now.
But now that I've managed to wear holes in my jacket's elbows, can I be a professor?
