Lately I've been a bit obsessed with cuffs. You know, those
chunky bracelets? I want a nice big pair of silver ones that I can flash like Wonder Woman, blinding my enemies with the glare of light flashing off my arm candy.
I haven't had a lot of luck finding something that works. I've seen plenty of cuffs, sure, but they're all very bright yellow gold. Gold makes my skin look even yellower, so it isn't very flattering on me. Silver looks much better -that's the curse of being a
winter-skinned dame, I suppose. So that eliminates about 60% of the cuffs straight off.
The bigger difficulty, though, is that I've got itty bitty wrists. Totally skinny bone-thin delicate wrists. Most cuffs are much too big for me, and slide up and down my arm all crazy. To some degree, cuffs are adjustable, because with a little pressure you can usually bend them enough to conform to the arm. But so far, no luck on that front. There's just too much extra room that must be accounted for.
But even though it's gold, and even though it'll probably be too big, I am very very tempted to pick up one of these bad boys on Etsy:
Card catalog cuffs? How perfectly delightful is that?? This particular
Etsy seller,
accessoreads, has a ton of other cool designs, too. Periodic table cuffs. Quotes from classic literature. It's very tempting!
