New York 2011 - pre-trip I
I mentioned sometime ago I'll be running the NYC Marathon this year and that our flights are booked courtesy of Mr. P's FF miles.
Last night we redeemed two nights at the all suite Double Tree by Hilton hotel thanks to the Hilton Honors points. That's a savings of USD 978! New York hotels are extremely expensive especially during peak season - Fashion Week, Christmas, New Year and to some extent marathon weekend.
So that leaves 7 nights of accommodation to be booked. There's no way we are paying crazy money to stay in a hotel and I'm not roughing it put in some cheap arse motels. We are booking an apartment for the week; like we did many moons ago (2007) when he pursued (wooed) me in NYC.
I heart NY!
