Top Ten Thursday: Yummylicious

Apr 01, 2010 19:28

Because it is Easter and the fact that I am perserving (don't want this to be another 三分钟热度 thing) with my T10Thursday despite a lack of response, we have this week's topic - Chocolates!

Top Ten Favourite Chocolate

1. Green Tea Kit Kat
Obviously (especially since I just  wrote about it)! It's a tad annoying I can only find this in Japan. Hmm, maybe I should attempt a green tea infused chocolate brownie to tied me over.

2. Godiva
May not be the best gourmet chocolate but definitely widely available. I won't say no to truffles that simply melts in your mouth.

3. Lindor
Hard on the outside, silk smooth goodness inside. Could get messy so don't bite it in half! Yums!

4. See's Candies
Introduced by the sister who brought some back from her LA-SF trip back in 1995 and it was divine. Our family's favourite are the Toffee-ettes (pictured).

5. Cadbury Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut
Block (family sized) is my fail safe go to pick me up.

6. Kinder Bueno
Extremely sweet, not an everyday chocolate. But on days when I am low on blood sugar (as in nearly fainting low), this works almost instantly.

7. Ferrero Rocher
Ah... a childhood favourite of mine that we had at home during festive period (I wasn't born with a silver spoon).

8. Mon Cherie
Another "expensive" chocolate from my past

9. M&Ms
I went to M&M heaven in 2007!!

10. Leonidas
Sentimental reaon: a boy brought me a box of 12 truffles (or was it 16) as a gift when he picked me up on our first date*.

*This whole old fashion chivalry thing is underrated - It creates a lasting impact (for me personally) when a guy makes the effort to bring a little something for the lady he is taking out for the very first time. Like how when I was 13, a boy brought me Issey Miyake Eau de Toilette that I started using before it became mainstream anyone I know in Singapore. (It used to cost only SGD 70 or so for 100ml and it's over SGD120 the last I checked.)

Some random bits:
Favourite cookies - Famous Amous (freshly made) Double Chocolate Chip and Pecan Nuts
Favourite corn snacks - Cheezels
Weirdest snack ever - Abalone flavoured macademia nuts (?!?)
