Weekend

Saturday I went snowboarding at Nashoba Valley. I had been given tickets by the wonderful C___, whom deserves great thanks. It took me some time to get back into the flow of things, but eventually I was carving down the mountain. At some point I discovered the terrain park and began hopping benches and sliding rails and jumping. I started off well and eventually was falling on everything. Later I practiced carving at speed and enjoyed the heck out of it. I meditated, practiced clearing my mind while bombing the mountain and had great success. The snow was excellent.
After leaving I realized that I had a sunburn. My face is red like a lobster minus the cut-out shape of my sunglasses.
Then I drove home, applied facial cream, and promptly took my mother out to dinner. I said "think of what you want to eat" hung up and thought "Bertucci's; possibly the Olive Garden" I showed up and said "Hi! What did you decide for food?--Bertucci's." Whereupon she was amazed I had guessed exactly what she was thinking. There was an hour wait so we walked around the mall for a bit. We stopped at EMS and chatted with a sales rep there. Mom pointed out one of the shirts she liked (think under armor with a front zipper and not skin tight) After much debate on color I tried a rust colored shirt, then tried a small. Fits perfectly. Mom decided to buy it for me (for my birthday) and asked "do you want it now?" I replied "no, wrap it up" but mom persisted "you could wear it snowboarding tomorrow" "okay" I said, and she goes to hand it to me and I joked "what is it?" =)
Dinner was amazing. I destroyed my meal and an enjoyed an appletini. It all hit the spot so perfectly that when the waitress asked "how was everything?" I replied "I could kiss you."
Later, at the chocolate store, mom told me she was cooking dinner for her boss and his three daughters. She said "I need you to be there because I can't handle three girls." clearly implying that I can handle three girls. Oh I had such fun.

Sunday the snow was terrible. It was sticky. At the bottom of the hill you would not have enough momentum to reach the lift. The stickiness was intermittent, making for very difficult runs. I took one slope over and over most of the day, and am thankful for my free ticket.
Then I did some laundry and picked up Maria for drinks. We had such fun at the margarita's in Nashua. I drank a little then had enough water to sink a ship.
It was a wonderful weekend.
