A couple of days ago, I arrived at work to discover that during the night someone had decided that our doorway was a decent substitute for a toilet. Worse, they'd somehow managed to angle themselves so that the resulting mess was placed right at the hinged edge of the door, making it a sure thing that an even bigger mess would result should the door be opened.
I turned around and went home. They don't pay me enough to deal with human shit. They didn't even pay me enough way back when on the ambulance, when it was one of my job duties to put up with that.
In brighter news, I'm being entrusted with the training of Winnipeg's new manager, which is all sorts of exciting. My regional coach had wanted me to find a project to cram into what little free time I had left at work, and this one just sort of fell into my lap, but it's one I'll enjoy. Our office is doing really well right now and if we can weather the transition from the hectic bloat of summer hiring to the hectic scrambling of winter downsizing/juggling mall contracts, then I'll be able to consider myself a successful manager.
Oh yes, and our one male supervisor bravely stepped up to the task of cleaning up the mess a day after it happened. I'll be buying him lunch soon to make up for his having to work with a bunch of squealing girls.
