Avatar Imagery
Ok, I was watching Avatar today(the episode, Bitter Work) and i got to the part where Toph comes up to Aang while he's meditating(and i saw even more of this because of my Film Analysis class), and she's holding this bag filled with nuts. And she's using his staff/glider as a nutcracker. Oh geez, so many sexual images there...
And the fact that he said, "It's an antique!" and "It's a delicate instrument!" and, my personal favorite, "Hand crafted by the Monks!"(Aang's staff/glider is a phallic image, duh). I laughed so hard when i noticed that(phallic image hand crafted by the monks? oh my GOD, Airbenders are perverts! XD)!
Also she was holding a sack/bag of nuts. Is she insulting his manhood? Of course, she's Toph. HE AIN'T MAN ENOUGH FOR HER(well, this was a LONG time ago, but i thought, why not? post a journal entry)
So were the Air temples just...sex houses? WTF?!

In other news...
In my Theatre II class, we're doing a children's theatre show...thing for the elementary schools. It's about Rumplestiltskin, and we're doing three shows(originally it was two, so...yeah, like...750 kids each show, roughly). It's during school hours, so i'm missing my Film Analysis class...*tear*(but the good news is, my film class is on a B day, and 2 of the shows are on A days, WOOHOO!). So yeah, kinda nervous about that(i know all my lines, so i'm not worried about that :D).
Oh, and pianos rock. Why? Because. That's why(and so do guitars).
