Holy Crepe! How do you people DO this whole mornin' bit..?!?! Birds are singing and fartin' in the trees, there's this infernal blasted ever brightening light thing happening, and I ain't even getting past love ones to guide me down the blasted tunnel to my 100 Virgins for my past Heathen misdeeds to flummox the infidels & Reaganites...
So, anywhoo, my lack of diurnal schedule notwithstanding, the show last night went over swimmingly well. We had the highest listenership EVER from the past 3 years of the "Phantom Frequency." That won't count the Podcast listeners to come, but the number was quadrupled literally. And everytime we lost one, be damned if another couple didn't pop up, plus they actually talked to us in studio during mine and DJ Poe's segments.
I had taken some time off while searching for an additional job and to a degree, a bit of burnout. I need to thank my friends and associates for hounding me about doing the next episode and dusting off the cowboy hat and collar for another jab at taste and decorum with a splash of tune-age. DJ Poe had a blast, and it was nice to be able to share and enjoy what I do with both people in the studio and the new listeners that popped up and kept us company throughout the night. This was an experiment to host a club DJ and his gear at the station, and now that we have the tech angle fixed and we know there's some interest, we'll try to keep it up. We've already asked a few others to gauge their interest and Poe has already volunteered to come back at some point.
So for now, we'll see what happens, I'll have the Reverend back in the studio next week to do the usual solo bit, but also we'll see about bringing some other volunteers on board for covering events and helping with putting together new shows and information to promote the local "Dark" Alternative scene that after tonight, one can see really does exist around here ;)
Thanks again, this really made the past few years seem worth it, you really have no idea...
For now, working on posting this and last week's Podcasts. They take about an Hour or so a pop to process and post, so bear with me. Should have them up roughly by noon-ish at www.clickcaster.com/frequency (We're working on alternate sites, but for now they seem to have somewhat fixed the existing site and hey, it' still free since they aren't charging during their fuck-up phase)
