Well I am still alive, despite what my lengthy absence from livejournal might suggest.
I am doing okay with the whole breakup thing.. I feel that I made the right decision. It's very strange to think of myself as single after being in a relationship for two years, and I do miss being that special something to someone. However I've gotten quite busy since school has began, and I have awesome roommates, so I'm not feeling as lonely as I did when I first got here. Leaving home and breaking up with my best friend and then being on my own with little to do was really tough.
I got a job at the local concert/hockey venue, which is pretty cool. I'm just a concession cashier but it's a pretty easy job with decent pay, decent hours, great people, and tips. I'd almost say I like it if it wasn't still work. The job means the school year will be much busier, plus I have a RIDICULOUS amount of reading in quite a few of my classes. I really have to keep on top of things which will be tough but if I can pull it off I will feel good about myself.
My classes so far seem.... well I don't know yet. I'll wait before placing judgement on them.
My own art is going to be seriously put on hold.. so the only stuff I'll really be posting on the site will be the fruits of my printmaking class. I have a painting that I'm just finishing up that I will post soon but that will be the last bit of art for fun for a while I think, which sucks. But hey. An education is good I guess.
This weekend is going to kick ass. It already started off with a bang. My friend Laura's bday was tonight so we had a big suprise pizza party at her house and afterwards a few of us went bowling. I got the 2nd highest score... which was like half of what the highest score was.. haha.. oh well, I didn't do terribly! (I didn't do that great either.. I guess other people just did worse)
My other Laura, home Laura, is coming up this weekend and we are going to PARTAY. I have to work Fri and Sat but we are just gonna go out afterwards. I can't wait, it's going to be AWESOME.
Anyways I am very tired and I have to get some shit done tomorrow before the fun can begin.. I am also really fighting a cold which sucks. UGH. GO AWAY EVIL SICKIES!
