Car Blessing & Break Ins

May 26, 2015 00:56

On that first day that Choi got to drive his new car, he brought me, mom, Meg & Stef out for a joy-ride. We didn't go far, just to King Bee along Commonwealth for Dinner. My mom and sisters were really so happy. It was like reliving the joys of having a brand new car. (Memories with my daddy - joyrides at night, breaking in the car via a roadtrip up Baguio, taking our cousins out for dinner to share the excitement of having a brand new car, etc.).

On the next day, Tita Shirley brought the car with her to her errands in Manila. After which, we had dinner at Uedo with Choi's cousins, Karen & Diane. We fetched them using the Fortuner.

Yesterday, Choi picked me up, then his mom and cousins, and drove up Antipolo to have the car blessed. We went to the Antipolo Cathedral where a priest was already waiting to bless brand new cars. Of course, this came with a donation to the Church (or maybe to the priest himself).

Choi and the others are talking about breaking the car in through an out-of-town trip to Manaoag Shrine (again for a car blessing), and maybe head straight up to Baguio to stay overnight.

Eitherway, I can sense exciting days ahead.
