Goodbye, Vacation

Jul 16, 2011 02:03

These past months after my graduation from college make up the longest break I have had so far. I was able to freely do things I have always wanted to do --- including playing PS3 games until early in the morning, reading tons of books, watching movies, and baking. I have been able to travel both outside and within the country with family and friends for fun. I was able to enjoy my long break. This vacation though shall be coming to an end very soon. In less than a week, I'll be reporting to work at GSK. I would have to wake up early again so that I would be able to make it to work on time. I'll also being working late hours if I badly need to finish something. Aside from this, my time would not be entirely mine anymore. My priorities will change --- and most probably, I would allot a big chunk of my time to excelling in this job. Since I'm just starting out, I would really need to give a good first impression and to impress my interviewers and the other people within the company.

I have always wanted to start working already, especially when I felt like I was becoming a bum already. Just playing and having fun didn't seem like productive things to do. It was as if I'm not making use of the gifts and blessings bestowed upon me. Thus, I felt the urge to really look for a job and get a job that would recognize my real worth and would offer a job that interests me. Now that I was able to find that job already, I feel nervous about starting so soon. Everything's happening so fast. I haven't even completed my requirements and yet I would need to report on the 20th already. I guess I would have to adjust to this new set-up quick.

Anyway, I shall make the most out of the remaining vacation days that I have (probably starting with a simple dinner date with Choupy and Lles on Monday.) ^____^

lovely friends, work
