Columbus Day
Columbus Day may just be my favorite federal holiday. It's a day that I get off, but many don't. Thus, I get to spend the day doing whatever I please by myself. There's no expectation that I participate in one thing or another. There aren't any big "Columbus Day" celebration festivals or parades. A lot of people forget that it even happens. It's in early October, so the leaves are changing colors, and the weather is often awesome (like today). And you get Monday Night Football to finish things off.
