Bowling: From a Dream to a Nightmare
The night started out great for me: A 131 (one short of my season high), even called the card game. Then came a 78, with a bunch of bad balls. Third game I posted an 87, so once again I beat my average (100) once.
The part that really sucked, though, I didn't realize until after the fact. If I had gotten two more pins in that last game, our team would've gotten SEVEN more points. As in, we'd have won 27-13 instead of a 20-20 split. I lost that last game by 1 pin (1 point); I lost my overall head-to-head pin count by 1 pin (1 point); and we lost the overall pin count by 1 pin (5 points).
The title of the Secret Sphere song I had in my head through the night really did sum it up: From a Dream to a Nightmare.
